I am planning a x-country tour beginning in New York City and planning to end in Seattle and then maybe down to San Francisco. Anyway my exact dates of travel are very up in the air, but it's looking like I will likely begin the trip on June 1st. I have never really been a road bike rider and this will absolutely be new to me. I am in pretty good general shape for a 29 year old, and I think I will be able to handle the new conditioning road biking requires; though it may take a couple weeks to adapt.
Anyway I just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else had similar plans in mind or might know a website or forum where I might find people who are planning something similar and might be interested in meeting along the road for a few days of cycling. My friends and family are a little more concerned than I am about my safety on this trip, so I promised I would at least attempt to find other Cyclists.
hey wats up man, me well im planning the same trip but im starting from CA im not sure if i want to start from LA or san francisco my goal is to be in NY by new years i have never been there and i think it'll be a great experince all of my friends are cheerin for me and da fam well u know how dat goes, im 25 yrs old im in ok shape im giving myself a month n half more to get in shape n off i go. Hopefully we can meet up half way accross da country!! I have a question though im trying to get a new bike and a lot of peeps have been tellin me of different bikes to get and im getting kinda confused as of what kind of bike will be best for me to ride. this is my first trip this long or ever doin this so any help u can give will be greatly app. thanks again and hope in hearing from u!!:eek:
