X-Ray of dislocated patella...

Hi all,

I just put a picture of my dislocated patella on Flickr for anybody
else who runs to see what it looks like :)

I didn't even do it while out running... I was just lifting a suitcase
into the back of a taxi. It does mean I have to keep a brace on my leg
for weeks though.

When I get to the hospital later this week I'll find out how long it
will be until I can run on it once more.

Anybody else done a bad dislocation?

I've had several dislocations, but it always went in again by itself. I
can't imagine the pain of it not going back. I found if I could keep
the swelling down it healed much faster.

I haven't had another one since I started doing simple stretches (just
standing upright on my right foot holding my left ankle in my left hand
and pulling up) to equalize the tendons on either side of the kneecap.
