Hooray for the cycling being on ES

I shall be sitting watching all ears cos its David Duffield and Sean Kelly doing it. I enjoy listening to them............ Ok DH is alright in small doses but some of the stuff he comes out with oh puhleeeeeeeeeeeze he hasn't got a damned clue.

I don;t know if you've ever notices that if someone makes a valid point about something ......... its regurgitated a few minutes later as though its his idea, but I do wish he would do his homework.

Mustn't be picky ...... we have cycling.

Good lad Phil, now when you've worked out to do 200 a week consistently. I'll tell you how to make the best use of them, and I'll do the same for Ryan. You both have to bang the miles in to start with otherwise you both are going nowhere. However do 200 a week until I say slow off at the end of the season.
I know that you two lads are going to make a go of it. Never mind all shit from jitteringjr about riders? with families who have just bought a bike and can't get the miles in, we live on a different planet, and want to win races. Go for it lads. As someone once said 'You only get one shot at the title'.

    Bonjour

Just checking in quickly from the in-laws' house on the other side of the country. Am going quietly nuts and can't wait to get home tomorrow night. If you see a news report of a wild-looking crazy person chasing a plane down the tarmac, that'll be me. Can't wait to get back to normal food and some cycling.

Hope you are all well :).

You don't sound like a happy purring pussy just now, and that's not like you. They're not feeding you on comfrey leaves and witchiti grubs are they? No wonder your man joined the Navy then. Has your arm fully recovered yet? That BC's coming over here to bore everybody to death. I'm glad he doesn't know where we all live. No sign of Bruce Hunt yet I suppose.

Paris Roubaix and no damned decent coverage.

Eurosport people need going out and stood in front of a firing squad.

You can tell its a bad day with me I am not my usual smiling self.

Just back home here after 7 days in the USA.

Just arrived here in time to see P-R and Boonen's win.
Had to be Boonen really in the final shakeup : Hincapie should have tried to do a long one and not left it till he entered the track at Roubaix.

So I've missed Gent - Wevelgem and Nico Matten during the week also.

I'll give youse some feedback about the USA later.

Good to see the youngsters here getting out on the bikes.

Miles for April so far for me is a big fat zero.
    Going off to pedal now.

Hope you had a good time Lim,

I was over the moon to see Boonen the B*M win

He is a really nice guy, as I said before met him last year at the Tour of Britain, sat next to him in hospitality, very articulate Belgian.

That was the same day I met Johann Museeuw.

I also have heard a lot about his early racing, I have a friend who I chat with that was in the Belgian Juniors.

    Merci M,

I'm afraid the trip to the USA was work, not pleasure, unfortunately.
Stayed in New York for 4 days and then on to Florida for three days.

Missed the Tour of the Basque Country and Gent W and barely caught P-R
    yesterday.

You've met TB ? Seems like a nice bloke and he speaks english (according to the DD commentary yesterday) very well.

I'll have to gather my thoughts about the USA and will post them later.

Hope all is well with you and yours.
Hope the rascals aren't playing up !

Board still on but no traffic allowed today Tuesday. I'll leave the whole issue for now, and that includes FP.

I see Eurosports extensive TV coverage of the Amstel Gold race on Sunday next, totals, err, err, 30 minutes according to my TV listings !

Not only can they not operate a message board, now they don't bother covering our sport !

    Pathetic.

166 so far this week, another 12 to do yet today, which brings me up to 178.

40K race at Eastway on Saturday should bring me up to standard.

Also the new club kit is in, it looks good, quite like the Phonak kit.

Hamiltons very upbeat about it, so much so that he's banging in loads of hours. Must have got fed up with his wife, dogs, kids, and the neighbours. He just wants to be away from it all and racing in Europe with the his new sponsors the 'Blood Tranfusion Team'.
