Will XTR v-brake levers (BL-M950) work with Avid mechanical disk brakes? The levers have Shimano's Servo-Wave feature. With old cantilevers, Servo-Wave meant variable mechanical advantage. Not sure what it means with v-brakes. My concern is Servo-Wave will cause problems when used with mechanical disk brakes, such as lockup or poor modulation.
These levers have 'adjustable' Servo-Wave. Does that mean the Servo-Wave feature can be turned off?
On a related topic, will Shimano's center lock rotors work with non-Shimano disk brakes?
