Hi, I have one of those xtr rear deraillers that had one of those 3rd pulley things attached to
where the cable adjustment barrel usually goes.
My question:
How long of a cable casing do I need from the rear stop on the rear stay of the bike and into the
cable pulley... if you follow me.
Should I run a long loopy one so that the cable barely is bent around that cable pulley or should
the cable housing run short and at a 90 degree angle so that the cable runs around the pulley?
Just thought I would ask as a friend says I'm running my housing about 2 inches too long...
Thought I remembered shimano saying to still run a long cable and not to expect the pulley to be
capable of smoothly bending the cable 90 degrees...
which is the prefered method?
thanks
