Hey deckard - how much did you pay for your bike? I got mine similar build with Campy Chorus Ksyrium SL for $3015 shipped ebay.

Got Zipp 404 clinchers for $1135 ebay, and an ergomo pro for $1230 ebay too.

My dream bike is just too expensive to race, but I don't train enough to race anyway.

Put some Zipp 404s on that bike and ride what CSC rides!

The Zipp 404s are my next buy. The bike with all the build ups was $5300.00. The LBS gave me a nice discount on the wheels.

Jiminy willickers, Opie, please tell us again how much you paid for your bike. And golly, please make sure you ask everyone how much they paid for theirs so that you can easily segue into your motto:

    I have $25k in bikes.

Christ, no wonder dating is such a bitch for you.

Gee Alienator - your being your typical self again! Well, deckard didn't mind!

Oh wait! Alienator - how much is you total bike collection worth?

What freaks me out is that there are lots of people at work making more $ than me and they can't afford / buy / or have an expensive bike.

As for dating women, I had a bad experience with them in Senior Year H.S. that alienated me towards women. And then I'm picky too. Plus my career setback hurt.

Come on guys, I would suggest breaking your Prozacs in half and enjoy life. Lifes too short, believe me I've been living mine one day at a time for 3 1/2 years and I am glad to the see morning everyday. Lets keep the posts friendly. I don't mind sharing what I paid for the bike. It took me a little over year to save for it, plus selling a few comic statues.

    Ride Safe!
    Cheers

Wow. You make a lot of assumptions for which you have no base to make assumptions. I hope you don't do that in your "engineering" job. What exactly is my typical self, eh? As if you would know.

What a tool. You really are impressed with yourself.

And you're uber superficial too. What happened: did you beat up or molest a girl accidentally at McDonald's?

I second that call for the LOOK 595...gotta the the team colors though.

If that doesn't work, possibly a nice Pedal Force, I always liked the 'generic' look of there frames.

    My dream bike(s) are:

    - Parlee Z1
    - Richard Sachs Signature

    followed closely by:

    - BMC Time Machine TT01
    - BMC Pro Machine SLC01
    - Moots Vamoots SL
    - Velokraft NoCom
    - Challenge Sieran SL
    - Pegoretti Responsorium
    - Rivendell A.Homer Hinson
    - Cannondale Rush Carbon Team
    - Schwinn Stingray Krate (circa 1970)

And occasionally I dream about a new wheelset and brakes for my Cannondale Synapse. Plus a swimming pool full of jello...

Nice looking Moots. I dig the Claviculas (sp?). Are those wheels the "Alex R3.1 and 3.2 Crostini rims, CX-Rays 24 2x front and 28 2x/3x rear, and White Industry hubs (built by Troy Watson of Ligero Wheelworks)" that you described elsewhere?

There are some killer bikes out there. I saw one with a carbon chainring, wouldn't that last only a few miles? I'll try to find the picture.

Nah. Those were the Reynolds Stratus DV tubulars that I just sold so that I can make way for a set of LEW VT-1's....The piccie below has the Ligero wheels in it.

It really depends on the CF chainring. I know quite a few people that have 'em and that are using them everyday. Some of these chainrings are 100% CF and certainly have a shorter lifespan that alloy chainrings. Others have an alloy ring of teeth built into the CF structure.

just out of curiosity, what about the frame did you not like? Any info outside the company touting it's own product is always desired.

Hey Alienator - how much does your bike weigh in post #35? And how tall are you and what's your weight?

Having a dream bike makes you wanna keep riding! I'm thinking of putting Zero Gravity Ti's and a Selle Carbon Red seat on my bike, but this would cost me over $650 !

I didn't like the finish or the general execution. I was anxious to see one, but I was ultimately disappointed when I did.
