I seem to be fine on 20mg Zocor, for years, but the Doctor
is recommending 20mg Lipitor because the medical plan covers
it. While Zocor is expensive, is it worth switching over for
that single reason?

I was switched from 20mg Zocor to 10mg Lipitor and got much
better control. HDL higher, LDL lower and much lower
triglycerides. I am not a doctor and YMMV. -

all know the grocery list of potential side effects from
using different statins. -

I noticed no diference. Lipid panel tests improved and other
tests stayed and continue to be good.
