Actually it may be more complicated than this. I had one of
the first BikeE E2s. Twice the tire blew off the rim at
85psi. BikeE sent me a new wheel. It appears that there was
a batch of bad rims, slightly undersized as I remember. Had
no problems with the replacement. As a sub. you could get a
305 ALEX DM24 rim 28h on a good quality hub built. It would
work with the Maxxiss. I have also put a Kenda Kwest 305
16X1.50 100 psi tire on a BikeE with success.
