Hello,

I hope this is the correct forum to ask. I'm 48 yrs old and just started riding again. I competed in triathlons in my mid 20's. I wanted to start riding again for fitness and recreation only. I have a custom flat bar Cervelo bike now. I found a shop selling a brand new- never sold 2006 Cannondale Slice 3 Aero bike w/ Shimano 105 components. She is a red beauty w/ discreet logos which I love. They are asking $1,000.00 for it. I know newer models can run over $3K. Is this a good asking price for a old stock 5 year old bike? Your opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That isn't too bad of a price for that bike, although it might be able to drop a little lower. I would just make sure that you are comfortable on the bike. Comfort is everything. Not too mention it is nicer to buy from your local shop rather than ebay or craigslist so you can start to build a relationship with them which can prove to be useful.
