The forum will be down for a couple of hours later today, while I migrate it to a new server. I'm sure everyone will notice an immediate speed and reliability increase once the move has been completed, no more 8 hour outages when server crashes the server at 1am
I’ll shut the forum down about 30 minutes before I do a dump of the database, the database is almost 1GB so it will take at least another 30-45 minutes to ftp it to the new server and re-import all the data.
Total downtime shouldn’t be any more than 1.5 hours.
As with anything like this, there are bound to be things that go wrong, so if you notice something wrong please email me on [email protected]
This will take place between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm Australian EST (in about 3hrs for you non assise’s)
