Will Rui Costa ever be able to lead a team in the Vuelta, Giro or Tour?

Right now he works for Valverde. He was doing fine (top 10) till today - dear god how can you lose time like that on a flat stage.

I am portuguese so I might be biased. I also usually only watch the biggest races. So, I wanted to know what people arround the world think about Rui Costa. Do you think he'll ever be able and lead a team in one of the big races?

The biggest victory in his career was the Switzerland tour.

Sorry if this was not meant to be posted here, I'm just a newb :)

and he won it in 2 consecutive years, no small feat then he won 2 stages in the TDF, showing excellent strategy and smart use of his watts, so i would say yes he can win a 3 week grand tour one day
