I am from Ronse Belgium so you are not alone in spirit only. I ride a 24" tricycle, which is a tough ride when your vijfenzeventig but I love getting around town and learning to speak Dutch. I have relitives in Ghent that we visit all of the time. eauxx |

I am riding a bike for the first time in forty years. I can get a medal if I ride five miles in the up and downs of Ronse, we are in a valley. I am enjoying the freedom the bike gets me and go out everyday, I hope someday to ride to Gent, about forty K and back. eauxx |

Hi,
Are you familiar with the Ardennes region.......we will be cycling around this area (Bastogne) in a few weeks. Would you say the countryside is good, also, is it okay to take bikes on the trains? Thanks. Mark

I'll bite .. not Belgian, but been here 12 years. Started riding last again last year .. though living in the centre of Brussels doesn't exactly make it easy.
If there's enough of us we could .. er .. get some T-shirts printed, or have a drink sometime or, shock/horror/gasp, go for a ride. B |

I'm origanally from Wales but do now have Belgian nationality.I've been here since 1992 and started cycling last year when I had to stop running due to back problems.I'm a member of the 4 Season Bikers ( http://www.4seasonsbikers.be/ ) club from Nerem,Tongeren and we cycle mostly in the Voeren district.
