I believe about 78 mph on a downhill MTB and 167 mph slipstreaming behind a very fast car on the salt flats.
Somehow I was thinking I heard of someone going faster on a MTB but I can't remember.
Maybe someone else knows for sure.

Wasn't it Sean Kelly who recorded 120 km/h down the descent of the Tourmalet just south of La Mongie?

What is that in miles per hour ?

I'm sure the fastest ever speed on a bike is around 200mph by some norwegian guy or something, shortly after he set the record the frame snapped, and yes at that speed too.

It was set going down the side of some mountain

i found a 65kph reading in a sprint which corellates to about 40 mph.
