I recently found a great deal on a 2009 Sojourn and just put a small deposit down to hold the bike for me. I'm planning my first tour ever, and plan to do it accross America. I'm an experienced camper and so I plan to spend as many nights as possible camping and cooking, so, from what I've read I'll be carrying a relatively heavy load.
I've read mixed reviews for the Sojourn. Some say, just on specs alone, that it might be a tough bike to use for a long, heavy haul, tour. And others saying it looks like a great solid touring bike.
Does anyone have any hands on experience touring with the Sojourn? There have been mentions of changing the gears and/or chain. Would anyone have any suggestions of, if needed, I could have the bike shop here alter the bike a bit so it would be a better fit for my cross-country tour? Thanks.
