    Hi Cyclists

    BQ is helping with others, family and friends of Matthew Coley to have a
    short bike ride this Saturday at 9am from Suncorp Stadium.

    Matthew was knocked off his bike in a hit and run incident and is struggling
    to regain his health. He has permanent injuries, but is making some
    progress.

    The ride will follow his ride home from work and will stop at the spot where
    the incident took place.

    It is expected that the media will attend and the news coverage may help the
    family to seek the culprit (unearth a witness etc)

    But they also want to reinforce the messages: "Hit & Run, it's no fun" and
    to generally get more awareness out there of cyclists on the road.

    The event should take just 30 minutes - there will be some food and coffee
    put on at the end for the riders. There's no charge for the ride or food.

    Please spread the word to any riders - they would like to get a hundred or
    more to make a good impact for the cameras.

    RIDE FOR MATHEW COLEY
    THIS SATURDAY OCT 16, 9am
    START SUNCORP STADIUM (LANG PARK) - CAXTON ST END
    RIDE IN A PROCESSION ALONG KELVIN GROVE ROAD & RETURN VIA McCASKIE PARK

    Well if that isn't the worlds most crappy slogan, it will be shortly.
    Tell me it's not in use anywhere except this newsgroup..

    That slogan is appalling - it puts hit and run on about the same scale as
    littering or smoking in a restaurant

    Without wanting to sound flippant about the guy who got hit, hows about

    "Hit and Run.......where's my gun???"

    Or is that only in the US???
