I was down at the allotment for a few hours from the back of 8. Lovely
weather. Then home to help the kids make christmas pudding.

At lunch I was thinking about dragging them out to some woodland or some
such for a walk or ride but then it started raining..

Yes, wasn't it? Shame about the p*nct*re fairy. Still worse a shame was
the fact that I p*nct*red on Wednesday at Dalbeattie, and when I took
the tyre off to investigate today's I found a sharp edged shard of
Dalbeattie granite inside my tyre... Bah.

Still, as you say, a lovely day for a run, and the bike and I came back
suitably filthy - one of those 'strip off and throw everything into the
washing machine' rides.

I had to get a train to that London at 06:05 today. Yesterday I couldn't
cycle to work as I had to be suited and booted for a meeting with some
clients so thats two days that I've not been en velo and I am really missing
it. To cap it all the boss called me when I was on the train this evening
and asked me to go into the office tomorrow morning to test something so it
put pays to my full day out. At least I'll be able cycle there and get a few
miles in afterwards, though it will not be Holme Moss, Snake Pass and
Strines that I was planning, more like a tootle to Taddy to see whats new in
Cyclesense. Sunday I'm going to Tony Bs to do a deal on his Saracen so it'll
be a shorter day then also.
