He everyone, I have been jogging on and off since I was 18 im 28 now, these
past 2 months I have been jogging ever other day, for 2 miles in 20min or so
(don't count the minutes), I jog alongside the canal on dirt road. For the
past 2 weeks I decided to jog 6 days out of the week, these past 2 days when
im close to the end of my jog my legs feel like 100 pounds , and when I
finish my jog my legs and ankles hurt pretty bad, the pain sort of goes away
after taking a shower, but sometimes it will persist throughout the next
day, im not sure of the cause of this, before jogging I walk half a mile ,
so my legs are warm, if it matters im 5"7 , 170lb

commonly recommended that you don't increase your weekly mileage by more
than 10%. You've increased your mileage by 100%. This is the reason you
are feeling tired and you are experiencing pain. Your body needs more
time to recover from the stress of running.I'd start by taking a 2 or 3 days off with zero running. Then go back to
3 days per week of easy running. Once you feel comfortable with that (no
pain), go to 4 days per week. At that point rather than adding more days,
add some additional distance to one of the runs.Quoted message said:

Yes. It matters. If you keep a consistent exercise program couople with
limiting your caloric intake, you should be able to lose some extra
pounds.Phil M.

Hi Phil, thanks for replying. The funny thing is i started jogging 6 days
out of the week , for just one week and half, and just recently my legs
started going out on me as i come close to the finish of my jog, when i
started jogging for the 6 days i had no problem with the pain in the legs,
but will take your advice, thanks again.
