What would be a result of a half marathon where you would not start
laughing and saying "that person should never have run it"?

    I think you've already lost.

We aren't Olympic competitors here - our only race is against
ourselves, against our own potential. Has the person given it
everything, or are they out there [censored] around?

By your own admission you plan to run far slower than you could to
accomodate your questionable diet. (And it _is_ questionable or
else you wouldn't feel the need to defend it here.) You aren't
running slow because of circumstances beyond your control, e.g.
illness, injury or simply not being in good enough shape to run
faster. You're running slow as a crutch.

If you want your run to mean anything, run like you mean it. Your
pace will certainly be slower at 13 miles than 4, but only by a
minute/mile or so. If you can do it then a LC works for you. If
you refuse to try it then you're admitting to the world that you
lack true confidence in your diet for endurence events.

Speak for yourself. I medaled in trolling.
