  1. Please forward this to your friends!

BigBad Media are looking for contestants to star in a new reality TV
show called TRIBES. The show is scheduled to run for two months with
teams from Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Greece and
Turkey pitted against each other. The winning team members will then
compete against each other with the eventual winner receiving £250,000
(and becoming a Europe-wide TV celebrity). The worst that will happen
is that all your living expenses will be paid for for 2 months (yes,
    including drink).

You should be up for a great time. Looks etc are not important, but
you must be ready for anything.

If you think that you and / or your friends have got what it takes to
make it onto the show, just call 0906 693 9949 to find out more
details and how to apply to be a TRIBES team member. The call will
last just a couple of minutes.

Remember, you can't win unless you're in so apply now (like today).
    0906 693 9949

Don't forget, we want to hear from your friends too, so please forward
this mail to them all. We would love to have a team of friends. 0906

like this, if this was genuine it wouldn't be a premium rate phone line. at
worst it would be a national rate line. sad git

If we could live without passion, maybe
we'd know some kind of peace.
    But we would be hollow.
    Empty rooms, shuttered and dank...
Without passion, we'd be truly dead.

Yup, and the postcode would indicate that it's somewhere near me. Might
have to have a look once I get the chance.

Must be a pretty new postcode. Does show up in Royal Mail's database
    http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/addressfinder
    Postcode: S65 1WU : PO Box 596, ROTHERHAM, S65 1WU

    BUT

when clicking on the "Show map" button says "S651WU not found()"

    http://www.afd.co.uk/ says "Postcode Not Found"
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/ says "The query returned no matches"
http://www.multimap.com/ : "S651WU is not recognised as a valid Royal
    Mail postcode"

(but maybe that's something to do with PO Box numbers)

    ICSTIS http://www.icstis.org.uk/ : 0906 693 9949:
"The number you are querying is currently not in our database"

Would you give them your business...

I used to work at one of RM's call centres, and postcodes for PO Box numbers
    were always weird.

Here's a handy hint. OK, two handy hints.
    1. Please don't reply to all groups unless there's a good reason
    2. When replying to Spam, don't quote the original message, as those
of us using a decent news provider will not have seen the original
    OK, 3 handy hints:
    3. Never reply to Spam

    follow-ups set

    1. The reason is because the more people are warned that it's a scamming
    spammer, the better.
    2. And so what? Will you instantly be seduced, or instantly be polluted?
    3. Who died and made you net-fuhrer?

    follow ups un-set

Only those who received the original post need any sort of warning,
copying the whole thing and sending it to everyone is helping the
    spammer do their job.
