It's also pointless, since it is missing most of the accurate answers
for this group. Should be more along the lines of: Always / Sometimes
    / Rarely / Never.

I might put up a web poll if I could be arsed.

And needs answers based on type of riding - How wmany No's would be
    Sometimes if they rode off-road?

I'm using OE and it hasn't messed up my newsreader - all the threads are
correctly displayed, even with the change of subject header.

Speaking of stuff that messes up newsreaders, is it just MacSoup that
has problems with posts made via cyclingforums?

Most of them show up devoid of any kind of line breaks or proper
quoting, and many seem to start new threads for no apparent reason -
there was one thread recently broken up into about five or six sections,
each starting with a cyclingforums post. I'm curious to know if the duff
formatting originates from cyclingforums or Soup...

No, the problem is at the input end - GIGO.

Thanks Guy - nice to know it's not just me being quirky :-)

I'm afraid I mostly skip over those posts as it's too much effort to
    untangle them.

I was referring more to the content than the broken threading

    SWIM?

Yes, cyclingforums does break threading as well, but maybe due to user
    cluelessness.

The broken threading is just slightly odd and I can cope with it - it's
the post as one wodge of text with no hints of who wrote what that I CBA
    to read.

You could change the question to get a yes/no answer.

**When cycling do you usually wear a helmet?**

Those who *always* wear a helmet would have to answer no, so the
benefit of such a poll would be limited.

    =======================

Today I ran a *hands up* poll today with 240 seven to eleven year old
    school children.

How do you usually get to school?
    walking - about 50%
    car - about 33%
    bus - about 20 children
    bicycle - 3 children
    train - 0 children

How many of you always travel to school by car? 10%.

Reducing the number of cars at our 470 pupil school to an average of
about 50 daily should be an achievable goal.

The figures for my children's school were (again a hands-up poll)

    Roll 335 Children 7-11

    257 Walked
    68 Car
    13 Bike
    10 (push)Scooter
    2 Bus
    1 Train

The school is very popular, oversubscribed and difficult to drive to - a
dead end road reached through narrow, heavily-parked residential
streets. Most children live within 500m of the school.
