You think I'd trust my own work!? Of course I used a guinea-pig bike and a
guinea-pig roommate to test it out before I tried it. It actually works
pretty well, and I personally didn't notice anything odd on it in a quick
parking lot ride. Then again, the rim might cave in, the tube explode, and
the rider comes to a grinding halt.

I think I'll stick with 32 spokes, three-cross. Those wheels look
like a face plant waiting to happen.

My faves are and always will be snowflakes - but they dont go well with
discs and it takes an age to build them accurately with several different
spoke lengths.

Looks like a real trick set for a custom low-rider. A machinist could
fabricate modified spokes creating fins in that pattern that would look
real trick. Hell, if I currently had a low rider park rig I would ride 'em!
