52 and mild sun here in Pittsburgh, PA. Five of us are going out at 12:30 PM to ride for a couple of hours. We should get a good 30 in. What a great way to start the new year!
It's 25 degrees at my house right now, but if it warms up to at least 45, I'm going to hit one of the local trails later.

Got out on the back roads for about an hour and a half this morning, and two hours yesterday. Temps in the mid to high 40's yesterday and low 50's this morning in SE CT. Great start to the new year! 🙂 Of course, both the bike and I came back covered in sand both days, but I guess it's going to be messy for the next few months. 🙁
On and off rain here in San Francisco, so no riding yet untill I have to go to work. 🙂
Alrighty then. The temp hit 54 here in Pittsburgh and we got a solid 25 in. Would have went longer but somebody said early "let's do hills." We have a lot of those here in Western PA. The testosterone kicked in and we spent an hour and a half proving who was in better "off-season" shape. It was sling-shot city all day as one of us would surge ahead only to be caught on the next hill.
It was, quite simply, one of the best rides I've been on in a long time. Can't wait to go back out tomorrow and do it again.
If this keeps up, we'll be peaking here in early April vs. July. Although I think that may be a good thing. Keep on keeping on.
Was +4c here today and my son and I went out for a two-hour ride: him on his new 20" chrome lowrider and me on my new Giant Stiletto chopper-bicycle.
It was in the 70's around north Texas today, with not too much wind and even a bit of sunshine. I took the five year-old on a lazy adventure ride that ended up down at the park for a picnic and a little soccer. (Insert Guiness beer commercial voice) Brilliant! :p
It was almost 80 here in San Antonio - got 35 in and it felt great!
It was 40 degrees and overcast here in Upstate NY but I got in an honest thirty miles, half of it with a good friend. Toward late afternoon the headwind was really obnoxious with gusts @ 25+ Mph but I did an out-and-back to compensate and I sure had fun coming home!
Happy New Year

Well into the 60's here in Tidewater, Va. Did a easy 10 mile ride with a friend.
It was beautiful. Plan on going out later today.
should have gone out yesterday. first day of sun in several but was out purchasing a trainer instead! talk about irony! there it was sunny and dry for a couple of hours and i was inside setting up my home ride! today its raining again. glad to hear those that got the ride in. ride safe 😄
Went out and did another 15 miles. Weather was perfect. 52 degress with only a slight headwind. To tell you the truth my legs were getting tired. I guess it comes with age and inactivity.
Sixty-ish here in Tennessee .. way above normal and I enjoyed the fresh air. The trainer has kept me at least even with where I was, so far.
Cold and wet weather ahead I expect.
Happy New Ride to all.
60 degrees here in New Jersey on January 1st and I got in a great 2 hours ride. It was absolute heaven. Long may the mild winter last.
Pittsburgh hit 61 degrees. I did 61 miles. I can't believe I'm getting this many miles in at the start of the year.
30 degrees at 5 Am riding in to work on New Years day -thank heaven - saw no drunks on the road :o
Jan 1 at 12:01 am in Mason, Michigan. It was a balmy 32F, although pretty breezy. We did 8 whole miles.
January 5, 2005 in Massachusetts Rode to work the weather 25F aprox easy the forcast was wrong for the ride home however got an inch of the white stuff a bit scary coming back. I ordered Innova studded snows on the 6th at 1pm for my mtb from www.bikeman.com and got them the next day at 3pm how that was possible with UPS ground I can't figure out but nice to have them on the bike incase the weather forcast lets me down again.🙂
