I hate "low carb" labels. Why can't sugar free ketchup, ice creams and
dressings, and candies just say sugar free like they always did before. A
smart person will still need to look at the label to see if it fits into the
low carb lifestyle. Inaccurate labeling only hurts the reputation of the low
carb lifestyle.
I even refrain from telling people that my way of eating (not diet) is based
on Atkins, since so many people don't read past induction.
Cracks about unlimited bacon and all you can eat meat feasts are like
telling a fat person to go eat a box of chocolates. I guess my mega green
salads aren't funny.
People attempting to follow a low carb plan doesn't always go as planned. If
I had to eat at the mall food court every day, I wouldnt last 1 week due to
poor selections offered. Its just an example of how our food industry
doesn't like a healthy eating lifestyle. You only need the outer isles of
the grocery store, plus a few other items.

Quoted message said:After 1 year of low carbing, losing 50 lbs, and totally improving my
eating habits, I still have people telling me I'm on a fad diet and that
I'm hurting myself and I should stop. They haven't a clue as to all the
changes I have made in my diet.
But that said, Eating properly is a fad. Most of the time I gave up after
awhile but I finally mastered it!
Exercising is a fad- I have a hard time sticking to it and do fall off
after awhile and I need to restart.
After all this time these comments shouldn't bother me, but they do. They
won't change my mind though- I found what works for me.
