Would you like a medal for not fitting in? if you showed up to a Harley club ride on a piece of junk old Honda would you expect others with ther $40k machines to drool over your junk? why don't you find other Dorks to ride with. DAMN A KICK STAND LOL!!!!

If you're happy with your bike what the hell does it matter what anyone else
thinks? But let me clue you in - I used to make fun of those expensive bikes
until I got one and found out how much better they are than an old Schwinn
World Sport.

Buying bits and pieces at good prices used here and there I put together an
Eddy Merckx EX titanium bike. I bought almost everything used except the
wheels. Then after I found out what a spectacularly great bike this was to
ride I bought a set of compact cranks for it.

So here I am now with a 62 cm 18 lb bike. And it goes downhill so smoothly
that I never worry. It climbs like a mountain goat so that I look for hills
now. And on the flats it goes like a scalded cat.

Hey, I'm sure that your Schwinn rolls along with the best of them, but
unless you're Superman it sure won't climb with the better bikes.

Doing that is pretty cool.

You should use what makes you happy. Just don't go out of your way to
be a [censored] right back to the people who are being a [censored] to you.

It puts you in that same class.

We have several bikes like that on our clubrides. BUT, we don't let anybody
along that has a kickstand. They are dangerous and if you can't figure that
out for yourself, you shouldn't be riding in a pack to start out with.
