Hi Folks,
For the past 10 days I've been eating 2 dates (palm tree fruit) per day.
They are extremely sweet and tasty. I eat them along with some raw
almonds. Because they are very sweet, eating 2 takes away my craving
for something sweet all day.
Each date has 5 grams of carbohydrate. So I am consuming 10.
Even sometimes I take 3 or 4. I never drop out of ketosis.
a.. Dates are one of the most nutritious foods that you can eat!
a.. DATES ARE FAT FREE! (that's including saturated fats!)
b.. SODIUM FREE!
c.. CHOLESTEROL FREE!
d.. ONE OF THE BEST SOURCES OF FIBER!
e.. The average date has only 23 calories!
f.. One serving of dates(5 or 6) has approximately 31 grams of energy
packed carbohydrates!
g.. One serving of dates provides 240mg. of Potassium (that's more than
bananas!)
h.. Dates are packed with vitamin-B complex and magnesium.
No wonder I feel more energetic at the gym the days I eat 2 dates.
I used to eat low-carb deserts full of cheeses composed of about 10g of
carbs
and 200 calories per serving. The dates have the same amount of carbs
but 46 calories but more nutritious.

Instead of consuming 2 table spoons of penult butter (per Dr. Atkins), I'd
consume
2 dates. Much sweeter , no poisonous trans-fat, and much tastier.
Try it. I advise against consuming more than 3 per day because you
risk dropping of out induction.
