No great loss... The food sucked anyway. I understand that they will probably be putting in vending machines.
Kim Chee? <lol> The other passengers are going to just love you!
I usually just travel with cheese sticks and nuts.
If they start charging for food, the next step is to prohibit you from bringing you on food on board, especially for very long flights. The step after that is, again on very long flights, to charge $12 for a sandwich.

..... and then, as has been suggested that Mr O'Leary may do with Ryanair, put coin slots on the overhead lockers and on the toilet doors.

You mean like movie theaters? ;-)
The movie policy is understandable , especially for small independent places where the admission price might barely cover the cost of showing the movie. In terms of food bans the Texas Rangers tried this a umber of years ago. The policy ended when fans saw security guards having picnics in the bleachers late in the game. A few creative types began adding things to the food that they knew would be confiscated. Nothing poisonous, just things like Ex-Lax brownies.

Ooh, that's delightfully evil. ;-) I like it!
As for movie admissions, well, it's now $8.00 per seat unless you go to the matinee!
And I'd not mind buying concessions there if they would charge real prices instead of highway robbery! I mean really...... -- K.
In the 80's United had deli buffet flights on coast to coast trips. Breakfast was bagels, lox, bacon scrambled eggs, pastries and coffee. Lunch was do it yourself sandwiches, cole slaw, cookies and brownies. Best coach food I ever had. Nothing fancy but all very edible.

If you've been "following the thread," then you've been deliberately cross-posting this nonsense. Stop playing naive. No one's buying...
