Since I watch some of the food shows and have my favorites, I get caught up
in their personalities and have looked to see if there are any newsgroups
where people chat along happily about the sort of thing we are talking
about.

I've often wondered about Emeril myself and different scenarios, wondering
whether he was taking a sip too many. I've often wondered also about the
make-up of his audience that seem to think that every ingredient he adds is
something sent from heaven.

As far as Rachel, I have noticed that she is just having too good of a time
out on the town on those $40 days. What's going on?

When I was googling some of these chefs, some were knocking Tyler for having
cliche answers to everything, but I have remained faithful to his charm.
There are a lot of things about him that gross me out about his habits, but
I like his shows a lot.

There should be a newsgroup for foodies, like there is for soaps.

I always think he's a little annoying. Successful, though, so I guess a
lot of people like his antics. If I watch him, I much prefer his
non-audiance cooking so to Emeril Live.

The only thing you have to wonder about Emeril is how fast he's running to
the bank. The man is actually extremely intelligent and the show is just
that "a show." Its what the audiences likes, it's what the audience comes
back for, it's what amuses the audience. Remember, these are NOT cooking
shows. They are entertainment.

The more the masses are entertained. the more people watch, the more the
commercials cost, the more the network makes, the more everyone makes. THAT

I think these shows may be PRE- "Emeril with an audience" show. No futzing

Ever hear of Justin Wilson? Paul Prudhomme? John Folse? Emeril isn't
from New Orleans but it's his adopted home and he's obviously learned a
bit of showmanship from those three (not to mention the marketing).
Anyone can just sit around a fire and tell people what he's cooking, but
it isn't good entertainment, and REALLY isn't a good prime time show.
