Those of you headed up in the near future to hone your winter skills will be happy to hear that the Ben Lawers group has just received a pretty good covering of snow! Roos and I were out getting a tick today, and were up to our shins reasonably regularly. It can all go in a day, of course, but with any luck that'll be a good base for your course (we passed through Weem on our way, since we were at the nearest group of hills).
Sun was shining too, very bonny day. If you're all /really/ lucky you'll get one of those too...

That's good news. I've been on some weather websites today trying to find out what's happening. I got the impression that it was cold-ish but snow-less.

Really strange.. There was hardly any precipitation in the west.. Ardgour got hardly any snow, but Nether Lochaber was plastered.
Plenty in the Glen Lyon Area, looked great from Rannoch Moor, but around Loch Earn very little. A dry night I suppose....
Only had time for a quick visit to Ardsheal Hill in Appin today, very enjoyable and a great viewpoint. Worth getting my brain cooked by the mobile mast on the way up. A real headache from that one....
