On 27th February, starting from Johnstone, Renfrewshire, at 10.00, will be
the annual Don Smith Memorial Ride.
For years this has been one of the West of Scotland's major fun run, a big
get-together of solos and Clubs.
Dunno if trikes are booked yet, we've never seen a recumbent, and tandems
are often thin on the ground, so if you have any one of these, bring it!

but if a couple of items from that thread might tempt you....
QUOTE
1. 70 miles starting at 10:00 (want-to-be fast guys)
2. 50 miles starting at 10:15 (moderate pace)
3. 30 miles starting at 10:30 (sociable ride)
Graeme Obree hopes to be with the Sociable group.
Former Olympian Brian Smith will be participating in the moderate ride, so
come along and see him suffer!

If you feel like joining in, please advise the Club so we can organise the
correct amount of soup'n'sandwiches.
The good weather has been ordered (we forgot to do that a couple of years
ago - sorry!) so come along yourself, or get a group going from within your
club.
Again, if you're coming along, please advise the Club *before* the day so we
can organise the correct amount of soup'n'sandwiches.
