ive been riding on the road for about a year now, i have an aluminum fuji with a cromo fork and sora componets. i get alot of flex in my crank, and this causes alot of drag and creaking and whatnot, any how ive been riding alot and would either like to start upgrading to ultegra/ 105 componets, but i would also like to decrease the weight of my 24 pound bike
the question i have is: is a frame that is 3.9lb/1.77kg (factory numbers not sure if it includes fork or just frame) is that "heavy" enough to where i should just save my money and put it into a new bike, or will the switch to 105 componets, lightweight fork and a lighter wheelset help me drop a noticeable amount of weight ( i am happy with the geometry of the bike and its comfort, i am also still yound and willing to deal with less comfort for more speed and performance as well as debt).
i just remember looking at ather bikes and thinkin ghow light weight they were and when i feel my rid it just seems heavy.
any how, any advice on weight, compenets or the like would be greatly appreciated
