  1. A TOURIST has been cleared of stealing a £1 can of lager from a supermarket - after a trial costing £10,000. At one stage Judge John Diehl, the Recorder of Swansea, demanded the Crown Prosecution Service appeared in person to explain why they insisted on prosecuting Richard Wilbraham.
