I'm usually the first to call out gear bling, but a free update that actually changes performance is worth a look. Bosch announced a free Performance Upgrade 2.0 for CX and CXR Gen 5 motors, which bumps torque to 120Nm and support to 600%. It also adds things like traction control, adjustable overrun, and a drivetrain pretensioner.
For those of us who care more about actual miles than flashy specs, I wonder if this is actually useful on a standard trail or if it's just for the people racing blind stages at events like the Bosch eMTB Challenge. Traction control is apparently handled via the Flow app by setting the Dynamic slider to -2 in Turbo mode.
Do you think this extra torque actually helps the average rider, or is it mostly for the racers?
