There's no point in putting down the Post (or the Enquirer for that
matter) for not being the Times. They're entertainment, not news.
Viewed in that light, something like the Blair scandal at the Times is a
much more serious affair.
After all, in my lifetime (I'm 52) we've seen the folding of so many
papers in New York--tabloids like the Mirror, but also papers like the
World, the Telegraph, the Sun, the Herald Tribune, the Journal
American--what's left?
I get a chill each time I hear the commercial or see the bus
poster--"ABC--the nation's most trusted source for news".

Good! As someone who lives on Manhattan I know that the last thing we need
on the island is a stupid stadium. The idiots in charge fo NYC2012 are saying
the only way to win the bid is to get the stadium on Manhattan, which is false.
It's too bad because besides the stupidity of the stadium, I like the idea
of having the olympics in NYC.
