    English Picnics, by Georgina Battiscombe Harvill Press London 1949.
    Green cloth boards & spine somewhat faded ,but otherwise in overall
    very good condition
    Lovely old book on the most unusual subject of the history and origins
    of the English picnic. Illustrated.

    Some headings What is a picnic / Tudor & Stuart picnics / Eighteenth
    Century & Regency picnics / Victoriana / The Chosen Guests / Picnics
    in Fiction / The Nursery goes picnicking etc.
