striking child I have ever seen had mocha skin, blonde curly hair and
green eyes. Absolutely darling!

Most people would classify DH and DS as "African American" but they are
truly multi-ethnic as are most African Americans. Their heritage is
African, Eastern European and American Indian. DS is adopted (not
"bi-racial"😉, but his heritage matches DH's almost exactly. He even
looks like DH. 🙂

Indeed, they are nice people. And they are a tad too busy running the store
to have time for "terrorist cell activities". There are two of them, and at
least one of them is there at all times. From 4 AM when the cook starts
preparing the breakfast buffet; store opens at 6 AM. Busy, busy, busy!
Lots of people on their way to work want a home-cooked hot breakfast to take
with them, not that McD's [censored]. I've seen construction workers also get
them to prepare sandwiches - they have all kinds of meats and cheeses and a
slicer - to take for lunch, along with fresh fruit (which they also stock in
abdunance). Then of course, there are the vendors delivering goods which
they have to make time for.

Then the hot lunch buffet - also an extremely busy time for them. In the
evenings it's mostly beer sales, I'm sure, but they are open until Midnight.
They have to restock shelves, do inventory, etc. just like any other store.
I'm sure it takes a couple of hours to close out. I suppose they have to
sleep sometimes, too. 🙂
