About 70 bicylists maneuvered around, through and over the ruins of Sylvan Island s industrial past Sunday. The ruins long corridors served nicely as part of the 2.6-mile course for the inaugural Sylvan Island Stampede mountain bike race organized by Quad-Citians Jim Ghys and John Blair.
