I've put up a few pix from the final round of the Trek Series (QLD). It was
a great day, in the cat 2 race 2 girls from Victor held off a huge chasing
bunch by 20 secs. Unfortunately there was a big pile up in the bunch sprint
(see photo). I pulled out of this race as I've caught some lurgy and was
coughing up big balls of yellow goop, but the chopping block riders I was
with held off the scratchies who started 1:30 behind and got fastest time
(but were stopped from finishing due to the crash). Cat 1 race was excellent
too. I've forgotten all the names (except Brendan Hill won Cat1 overall) but
full results will be on www.cyclesportnews.com later on. I'm still going to
try and do the trifecta of 3 roadraces in three days (Soldiers Honour Pine
Dam, Trek, Lakeside Open)..we've got a pretty good club team for masters 2
tomorrow.
Also there's a few pics of my new bike a carbon Kuota Kharma. It's very
sweet, descends faster than a dodgy russian sub and climbs like a sherpa on
speed 🙂 I think it looks alright too.
