This morning while riding down the alley en route to the station, I
turned a corner and rode straight through a pile of smashed glass. It
looked like it had been left there deliberately - possibly even with
the shards arranged strategically with the intent of causing maximum
damage.
But my Schwalbe City Jets sailed (or rather "crunched"😉 through
completely unscathed.

completely unscathed.They roll pretty well too. It's a shame they're so slippery when wet.
Maybe yours are different to mine. Mine only slipped when crossing a metal
rail set in the ground.. Otherwise they are fine.
But Nokian AWS are as good and have a nicer tread pattern[1]
