Year Cookbooks Diet Books Ratio Cookbooks To Diet Books

    1996 2803 98 28.6
    1992 1759 56 31.4
    Source: Amazon.com

The wider problem may be evident from the fact that, as the above chart
indicates, cookbooks continue to outpace diet books by a wide margin.
In 2004, Amazon listed a whopping 5764 cookbooks--twice the number as
    eight years earlier.

There is hope in the data. With diet books doubling in number every
four years and cookbooks needing eight years to do likewise, diet books
will eventually catch up to cookbooks, though it will take a very long
time. At that point, the obesity epidemic will subside, though perhaps
    not before.

I fear that the obesity epiemic will merely peak out when the number of
diet books matches the number of cookbooks. I hope the obesity epidemic
    peaks out sonner than that!
With ratio of diet books to cookbooks doubling hardly faster than every
    8 years from 1996 to 2004, going from 13.1 to 1 at such a rate requires a
little short of another 29 years from 2004.

The obesity epidemic will reverse when people start "watching how much
they eat" instead of believing that "eating right and exercising" is the
    solution.

The experiences of more than 625,500 people who have had more than 5
years experience with the 2PD-OMER Approach has borne this out:

The experiences of more than 625,500 people who have had more than 5
years experience with the 2PD-OMER Approach has borne this out:

Hey, Chung. If you're going to nastily "correct" others for their
English, it would be good if you did it perfectly. Ooops.
Subject/predicate disagreement - experiences... HAVE borne. Your
self-forgiveness and "explanation" should be rich.

But back to the subject at hand:

Funny how no one seems to be clamoring for a newsgroup for all these
successful dieters to communicate with each other. No Yahoo group. No
blog. None posting here. There have been two sincere posters that have
endorsed Chung's diet that I recall. The rest all had munged addresses
and posted once or twice and disappeared, except for the obvious sock
puppets who return now and again.

In December, 2004, he posted a *guestimate* - here are his exact words:
"I would guestimate that more than 90,000 people worldwide are currently
using the 2PD Approach to either permanently lose to or to maintain
    near-ideal body weight."

And how did it increase by a factor of 7X in 5 months? Oh, wait. They've
been doing it for more than 5 years. So he didn't count them in
December, but in April he decides to? A true man of science...

It's now a solid *fact* according to Chung, that more than 625,500
people have been doing it for more than 5 years. And he's using that
number (unsupported by anything except his posting it) to "prove" that
    it works.

Where are these 625,500 people hiding? And if it got to 625,500 so
quickly, how come the number hasn't increased even by one since the
first time Chung posted that number? But wait, it's been that number for
    "more than 5 years."

Chung says he invented the diet 7 years ago, IIRC. To reach 625,500
within the first two years, it means that more than *850 people* would
have started this diet *per day*. Could I be wrong about when the diet
was invented? Could it have been 8 years ago? Oh, that's much better -
the number reduces to only *571* people *per day*. And nobody noticed
this enormous groundswell of interest? Not one reporter? No excited doctors?

If 625,500 have been doing it for more than 5 years, how many have
jumped on this runaway train in the intervening years? There should be
millions eating only two pounds of food a day if that growth rate had
even the remotest connection with reality.

Where are all these people? Not one has written an article for
publication in any major newspaper or magazine about the startling
results? Not one is a radio or tv personality who could promote it? Not
one celebrity endorses it? Not one politician offers it as a solution to
our obesity epidemic? Not one medical organization reports it? Not one
alternative medicine organization has discovered it? Not even the cranks
who you would expect to latch on to another wacky transmission from the
mother ship have glommed onto it. Nobody but Chung and his socks are
flacking it. No support from any outside people, group, organization,
    movement...

    Poor deluded and delusional Chung...

    What?

I have written plainly, dear Bob.

    Truth is simple:

The way to the truth is straight and narrow:

You will remain in my prayers, dear Bob whom I love, in Christ's holy
    name.

May you reject your pride and accept Him as your personal Lord and
Savior, someday, so that you too will have eternal life and the
fascinating riches of His everlasting kingdom.

    Here's how:

    http://makeashorterlink.com/?I22222129

Please note that God truly made this special link describing that He is
the great "I am" and that His message is as simple as the number 2 which
is a number between 1 to 9 and reminds us of His 2 commandments, the 2
arms of the cross, the 2nd part of the Trinity, the 2 finger sign of the
Prince of Peace [who remains *V*ictorious over death and satan], and the
2PD-OMER Approach. Let it not ever be written that Christ did not make
His presence known here on Usenet :-)

Also, note that Exodus 16:16 continues to remind us that 16 oz plus 16
oz makes 2 pounds, which is "a certain measure of weight," which is what
    "omer" literally means in Hebrew.

Enter the 2PD-OMER Approach, which can "cure" metabolic syndrome (MetS)
thereby bringing this thread back on topic for these NGs :-)
