I really like the 1-2-3 Low Carb book - the recipes are easy and only have
3 ingredients. After making them they just blend into your cooking
routine, I don't really go back to the book for specifics after a while
you just remember them because they are simple.

amazon has a combo deal if you buy it with the Carpenter Slow Cooker book

And I just sold my old slow-cooker...!

Recently, I've been catching up with George Stella "Low carb and Lovin' It"
on FoodNetwork and plan to get his book. (It was listed as a link from the
Amazon link above.) If the OP is looking for quick meals, you could also
take a look at Rachael Ray's 30-minute meals. She does have SOME low carb
recipes, probably not a specific book, but you could look them up on
FoodNetwork.com, along with Stella and others.

  2. Thanks everyone for the great replies.....I spent some time at Books A
Million today and last night looking at Dana Carpenders books and
Better Homes and Gardens has "phase" lc cookbooks that seem to be
geared towards gradually upping the carbs. Phase one.. all the meals
were 5 grams of carb or less, phase 2 I think was 10 or less? Very
interesting. I have a friend who does not have access to the internet
for recipes and I would like to get her a cookbook for a birthday gift
as well as a couple for myself....

Once again, thanks for all the help.

    Blessings~

Many of his recipes are online (I LOVE his show!) and Blaine Jelus also has
a ton of recipes, as well as videos of him preparing them, on his site at
FitTV.com. Those are the 2 TV shows I try never to miss. 🙂

    http://fittv.discovery.com/fansites/blaine/blaine.html - Blaine's site

I've found so many LC recipe collections online that I can't imagine ever
running out of things to fix. 🙂

I wanted to watch Blaine's show, but I don't get FitTv. :-) Will check out
    the site, thanks!
