These are reasonable. Some of the Allez range have carbon seat stays
with gel inserts; the gel is probably a gimmick but the carbon stays

I would avoid this like the plague. It's been at least ten years since
Raleigh have sold a bike that wasn't complete rubbish. They may be
trying to recover their brand but I would not trust them to get it

I spoke to my brother on this last night and he said i would be better to
opt for the Giant as it is a 9 speed and would be easier to upgrade in the
future. it also seemed to be the lightest of the bunch. By the way the Trek
1000 now comes with carbon forks.
