I did consider that... and you are right.
Her point was to try to increase calorie burn somehow.
She does not know any way to lower Cortisol other
than getting back on a routine schedule.

And that's not going to happen any time soon. :-(

I asked them to go ahead and short my hours next month to give
me more time off and see if that will help. I have tons of
vacation time available to fill in the missing hours so I don't
    lose any money.

    We'll see what happens.

    Thanks!

Speaking of stupid, I eat absolutely everything including whole apples,
corn on the cob, steak, and even an occassional Whopper fastfood
hamburger, in precisely the same manner that I have always eaten them
with a normal full set of dentures. 🙂

When any person has a health problem, the responsible knowledgeable
person resolves the problem 100%. All my dental problems were resolved
between '91 (when my teeth were removed) and in '93 (when my last set
of permanent dentures was re-casted for a perfect fit). 🙂

Among the many benefits of dentures, are:
    - No more dental bills. I have not paid a dentist one penny of my money
    since 1993.
    - No more dental headaches.
    - No more mercury in my mouth.
    - No more teeth cleaning/scrapping, No more drilling, No more pain,
    etc.
    - No more gum inflammation.

Most people now believe, that I own a perfect set of teeth which can be
compared to my old look of a mouth full of silver and rotten teeth. 🙂

Now, who is the idiot here? Ha, ... Hah, Ha! The stuck pig whiner
called WillBrink. Just my opinion, but I am right as usual.

Neo-Nazis also have plenty of web sites.

    Yeesh!
What've you dudes done to my poor innocent little thread? ;-)

Okay, here is an update on what I have done plan to try.

Rather than doing a fat fast this time in attempt to break this
frustrating stopping point, I just re-balanced the calories a bit and
increased the fat percentage of the calories to about 60% and cut carbs
back almost to zero except for what I get in veggies like celery,
radishes, chard and other leafy greens. Sticking more to chicken and
fish rather than red meat, and getting the fat from mostly dairy.

I'm kinda losing my taste for beef anyway unless I can get range beef.
I've never been overly fond of pork...... When I DO make a pork roast,
it's generously treated with LOTS of garlic and other fresh herbs,
primarily rosemary. Pork has a "fusty" taste to me that needs a lot of
help. I'd not buy it at all except my housemate likes it. It's usually
    grilled over a wood fire.

Seems to have worked as my weight is slowly on the downslide again. I'm
down 1 lb. from where I got stuck. We'll see over the next couple of
days if it's just a fluke/fluctuation but I've also noted my pants are
looser than they were around the waistline.

And the acetest tablets for urine ketones are deep purple...

In the meantime, I finally managed to speak with my "guru" at work who
is far more "up" on esoteric supplementation than I am. He's an ER
Doctor who is heavily into longevity medicine, nutritional therapy, and
sports nutrition as well as herbalism and alternative health practices.

Practices what he preaches too. ;-)

So, his recommendations to me for cortisol control were the following:

Beta Sitosterol, 100 mg. twice per day
Alpha Lipoic Acid, 100 to 150 mg. twice per day
    Resoveritol, 10-20mg. once per day.

I'll do a bit of googling on those and also check prices at the local
    health food stores.

    Cheers!

    <grins>

    Your name is interesting...
One of our ER doctors names was also David Cohen.
He was one of the first people that introduced me to the concept of
    "balance" in using vitamins.

This doc was very jewish and wore that little beanie thing on his head
all of the time. We used to tease him about it, said he wore it just to
    cover his bald spot. <lol>

He was very good tho' and a wonderful person. He left this ER
organization and I lost touch with him. He was into vitamin therapy and
    homeopathy.

Anyway, when I first started lifting and eating a lot more protein, I
was being bothered by leg cramps. Not just ANY leg cramps, but 3 am wake
    me up screaming QUADRICEP cramps!!!

On a pain scale of 1 to 10, it was probably at least a 12. ;-P

I kept rolaids on hand for a fairly quick resolution, but it was not
long lasting. Once it was determined that it was a calcium problem, I
tried just about every different form of calcium that I could find.
Calcium carbonate, Calcium gluconate, etc. Whatever was on the health
    food store shelves.

I finally took my problem to Dr. Cohen and he told me the problem was
that I was taking Calcium! By itself.

He said that minerals must be balanced. The crucial mix was the proper
balance of calcium, magnesium and phosphorous.

Once I switched to a balanced multi-mineral that included all three, the
    problem went away...

So, why do Dr.'s keep pushing plain calcium tablets on women with
    Osteoporosis???

    <sigh>
