  1. The spreadsheet!

Kept a spreadsheet, put on 3 pounds, neglected it, lost 2 :-(

So I'm back to the spreadsheet; I should keep it deligently, noting my
food intake in calories and proteins, even if I think, like I did
lately, that I got the hang of it and "just know it" without needing to
fill in the spreadsheet... oh how wrong I was.

Even if it seems a little tedious or laborious, it's worth every minute
of doing it, multiple times, more than anything else I could do.

Nah, it's motivation. Without motivation, that spreadsheet would be
worthless. With motivation, you could probably survive without the
spreadsheet, but still, no reason not to use all tools at your disposal.

    Cheers,

I found the spreadsheet to be essential for motivation.

I find weights to be of some importance, though clearly not as important
    as a spreadsheet.

I totally agree. I still had weights while I lost weight lately,
eventhough I used them, because I hadn't kept a spreadsheet of my food
    intake.

I hear you on that one. When I would neglect my sheet I would overreach
and injure myself. The sheet keeps me on the path to my goals. I look
forward to every two week's when I get to make a new one.

I have never met anyone except a profesional baseball player during
the season who couldn't pack on weight. Eat eat, then eat some more.
