You've got 2 pretty good choices. One is the Structure Triax and the other
is the Max Moto. The new Structure Triax became more like the Span with the
last update since it's not as strong stability wise as it once was. The Max
Moto would be slightly less than the Span from a stability standpoint but
you still get some support from the plastic shank in the arch and the PU in
the heel.

No actually you have hundreds, just about anything is a better buy, and
a better shoe.

A couple years ago when I first tried this shoe at a shop, I also tried
Asics' DS Trainer (model 7 or 8) which seemed pretty similar in fit,
feel, and weight. FWIW.
