I have raced before in one-days but this weekend is my first two-day stage race. There is a 30.3 mile (50K) Road Race the first day and a 10 mile (16K) Criterium the second day. I hope to win or finish top three in the road race and to finish top five in the crit.
I am so confident about the road race because during my training with the "fast" group I was able to hold 25 MPH for about 35 miles in a paceline. It is a Juniors 15-16 race so the pace won't be blisteringly fast maybe around 23-26 MPH with a few fast sections. There is a 0.2 Mile long road leading to the finish and it is perfectly straight
In my last criterium I finished fourth with an average speed of 23.71 so I am sure I might be able to slip away and stay away through the corners ( there are six)

Also the corners in the crit were all about 90 degree turns but the streets were wide and we were taking the corners at 30+ MPH, there was one crash in the crit.
