We are off (from Sydney Aus) to Scotland (Lewis) on a family visit in
September. Five years ago I did two or three Munros and found that it
was not a bad way to spend a day. Rather than do them on my own (my
wife does not walk) I was wondering if there are clubs or groups that
I could tag up with during the first few weeks of September.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

There are no Munros on Lewis. Are you intending to visit the mainland?

Indeed. I have just been told that we are staying in Skye from the 3rd to
the 10th of September. Well, not quite the mainland but close. I have bought
a copy of the LP Walking in Scotland
and am reading the chapter on Skye with some interest.
