I saw Phill and Paul on CBS sports today doing a recap and, wow, was it professional. I suspect that OLN is contracting out to Phill Liggett and Paul Sherwen for play-by-play and then adding their own team for color commentary inbetween theirs which sometimes seems klunky. The footage on CBS looked really crisp whereas the footage on OLN looks foggy. I suspect it may be the PAL standard versus NTSC and the conversion is making it look muddy.
If they are indeed mercenaries, personally I feel Phill and Paul should start an all cycling channel or become a content provider for cycling much like the EIB is a content provider for radio personalities with loud mouths such as Rush, Dr. Laura.

The feed is the same, French TV is the only supplier. Maybe OLN uses compression technology on their signal to save transmission costs. We get it crystal clear on public TV here in Australia. On top of that PAL is higher definition than NTSC.

Yep, great coverage from OLN and excellent transmission from Dish.
If you listen to Phil and Paul you would realize that the problem with break-up is caused by the motorcycle camera stabilization software, but you would probably rather [censored].
