Daughter off to Tokyo next week needs a Backpack / Rucksack. As she is
of fairly
slight built it was suggested she buys one with wheels, so she can
carry for a while
and 'wheel' for a while.
So far the ones we've tried are awful ... wheels dig into lower back.
Anyone out there have a 'wheeled' Backpack one that works ? or can give
some links to
shops that might provide us with one by Tuesday ?
I've seen some good =suitcases= with wheels, but not rucksacks. The sort
of places that backpacks go are hardly 'wheel friendly', unless we're
talking bike-sized wheels, so the designer is on a hiding to nothing
from the get-go.
What she needs is a husky boyfriend. Or a Husky. Or Donkey. Or bike. Or
just 'take what you can comfortably carry' .. yeah, I know, she's
female, so you'll never sell her that last one ...
You could look at one of those collapsible wheeled trolleys (really
designed for sticking under non-wheeled suitcases, but basically will
work with anything you can balance on top) - you'd have to tie it on
top/back of the backpack when not wheeling it, and it's going to add
several pounds to the weight, but it does give you more options and
probably better comfort. She can always toss it in the trash when she
gets sick of it.
