  1. Translation: my knee hurts and it ain't going away. I am getting physical therapy next week and will look at having my position redone after that, but I'd be interested if anyone has had to deal with this and can share relevant experiences or solutions. I am a serious racing road cyclist, normally riding 10-20 hours a week depending on time constraints.

  2. There are 4 muscles all coming together around the patella tendon, but not entirely loaded into one point, there are medial and lateral insertions. Is the inflammation all over or can you locate it to any specific point? It could be a rectus femoris issue? it might be a bike position issue or it might be something to do with the the knee compensating for faulty mechanics up at the hips. let us know what the physio says

    and good luck with it

I am starting to have problems with my knees. When I am not riding it feels like a burning sensation on the outside of the knee. If I ride heavy it become the typical knee pain. The burning sensation is most noticeable when I flex the leg towards the chest with the knee bent (Like stretching the quads). I do not know if it is bad position or simply old age. This thing started with the left leg and now the right is doing it as well. I am so frustrated with it. Here in Jacksonville Fl, I don't know of any real good sports physiologist that could help me determine reason for it. It seems that might be a bike position problem...but I've tried several adjustemnt with no avail!
