What is for breakfast. I don't mean what did you have last weekend.
I mean what do you have every day.

In the last year I have done the following:
    2 vending machine food
    2 months of hot pockets
4 months of jimmy dean sandwitches
3 months of raisn bread with either pb&j or pb&banana or just banana.
and now I am doing bagles and humus.

I am always thinking of things I can fix and stuff into my lunch bag
and eat once I get to work.

What are you guys eating day in and day out?

    Coffee and cigarettes ',;~}~

Actually, I don't tend to eat before 10 a.m. and what I do eat varies
constantly. Usually it ain't much. Leftover pizza I love. Maybe just a bag
of crisps (potato chips to you weird forners).

Lunch and supper are when I eat 'food-food'.

Shaun aRe - you don't think I maintain this supremely svelte and lithe
figure by eating a large, *early* breakfast do you schweedie?!? ',;~}~

Even putting it in quotes doesn't tell the true story about how
    uncheese-like it is.

I like what Saerah wrote sometime ago:

"velveeta is cheese to the degree that bologna is prosciutto."

That's really not fair to bologna, there do exist superior examples...
it should read: "Velveeta is cheese to the degree that Oscar Mayer
bologna is prosciutto." And there are some exceptional examples of
American Cheese too, certainly no less a cheese than a very young
cheddar, gouda, brie, etc. Many enjoy mild cheeses but can't even be
in the same room with the aroma once they're beginning to become
aged... I've met people who can't tolerate cottage cheese, cream
cheese, or yogurt. Why do you think pizza has become so popular, Mozz
is no more sophisticated than American, in fact compared with American
Cheese, Mozzarella is tofu... mozz is all about texture, stringy when
melted or silky when fresh, has no flavor other than what it picks up
from other ingredients.... mozz is not a cheese one eats on it's own.
Anyway, there are some excellent German bolognas... I happen to like a
grilled ring bologna but the ultimate bologna is mortadella.

Some of yoose hillybillys really gotta get out more often.

    bologna; baloney
    [bah-LOH-nyah, bah-LOH-nee]
Precooked and highly seasoned, this popular sausage is usually sliced
and served as a sandwich meat or cold cut. The word comes from Italy's
city of Bologna, though true Italian bologna sausage is called
    mortadella .

Orange juice mixed with water. In cold weather, the water is hot from
the kettle. In warm weather, the water is straight from the tap. The
orange juice is the pasteurized stuff from the carton. (I can't stand
strong flavors first thing in the morning. The water tames the sweet
and [censored] of the juice. Besides, I wake up dry but don't like plain

    water.)

Toast. That's toast with butter and jam or toast with butter and melted
cheese. When I'm feeling wild and crazy, that's toast with almond
    butter.

If, for some strange reason, I need a real breakfast because I won't
have the chance to eat again mid-morning, add an apple to that. I hate
having to eat first thing in the morning.

That's me too, and also with the orange, if I do have it - diluted with
water, but always cold for me. I find undiluted it's too acidic for an early
stomach, as well as the taste as you mention. But, you can't beat a nice
extra strong fresh coffee and a couple of hand rolled (with filters) Golden
Virginia baccy cigarettes - sets one up for the day so it does!

Exactly the same, only I had 3 'machine rolled' (Can't get my fingers working at
    6 am)
Then at 10.30 a scotch egg from the hospital shop!
    A healthy balanced breakfast 🙂

  6. I've had almond butter recently, and it was good. Yesterday I had mango
chutney on my toast. I'm not sure I've even seen pumpkin butter, but
    I'll keep an eye open.

This would be my usual as well, but I often grab a granola bar or some
crackers to go with it. Sometimes I have tea instead of coffee.

When I have time, which is to say when I have a day off that I wake up
before noon, I make a large breakfast. Usually a few eggs, some kind of
greasy pork product, hash browns, and toast. The eggs are usually over
easy, but sometimes I'll throw in left over artichoke hearts, cheeses,
veggies, whatever. Last time it was tomatoes, Edam, mushrooms, and
    shallots.

Sometimes I'll make sausage gravy, but I usually buy the biscuts (Bob
Evans frozen in a tin - they make great biscuts, but their
    gravy....Yick!).

When I eat a big breakfast, it certainly isn't healthy. Fortunately (?)
    I rarely have the time.

On Saturday morning (ok, early afternoon) after a rough night out, a
double cheeseburger, extra greasy, seems to be the best.

M - F 1 cup of coffee before the shower 1 double cup for the commute, usually
drink only about half. If I feel like eating then 2 pieces of a grainy bread
toast with cheese and/or a slice of ham or turkey for the road.

Saturday's Coffee & Oatmeal with dried fruit - butter & sugar (No milk or cream)
Sunday's Coffee and 2 sourdough rolls from Panera bakery.

  9. My favorite timesaver breakfast: Every Sunday, I make a big batch of
muffins, a coffeecake, or a quick bread. I wrap pieces individually and
put half of them ina tupperware, the other half in the freezer. All I
need is about 3 minutes in the toaster oven to freshen it up. I can
make a different flavor every week, vary my sweets and my savories, and
if I get bored, I pull one of last week's flavor out of the freezer. I
know I'm getting whol grains and usually some fruits and /or nuts in my
baked goods, so they're a good healthy way to send my kiddo to the
school bus. A "drinky yogurt" is her side of choice, but breakfast is
often served with fruit or microwave sausages to round out the
    nutrition.

Day in and day out for breakfast I have wheat flakes, banana, and skim
milk. Lunch and dinner vary, but breakfast is usually the same.

(Except this week because I ran out of cereal)

    Sue(tm)

I usually don't eat cold cereal, but this week I bought some Swedish museli
at IKEA (the package says that its from Sweden). I hadn't bought museli for
some time. It was rather good for a change.

Mostly bread (toasted or not) with various spreads/cheese/ham and
coffee. On weekends egg and bacon, or pancakes or waffles. Sometimes oat
porridge or semolina porridge. Rarely a real fryup but not usually that
    hungry at 05:30 LOL.

I do that too, except always cold.

My wife makes me breakfast every morning and it is ready just as I get out
    of the shower and dressed.

Every day I have a cup of tea.

M-F will vary just a little. One day is a bagel and cream cheese, one day
will be toast and PB with jelly. The other three will be a fried egg, two
pieces of toast. First with just butter, then second may have butter and
jelly and is eaten with the tea.

Weekends we eat a bit later and have a larger meal. This is the time for
bacon or sausage, perhaps an omelet, or maybe a scrambled egg sandwich with
    mayo and catsup.

    Indeed!

I do eat well really, plenty of good food when I need it, I just lose my
appetite when I'm not doing much by way of exercise, or rather, if I've been
say, doing a 30 mile mountain bike ride that day, I'll eat like a starved

I just really cannot eat at all that early, unless I'm camping in the

    the hour.

Do you get their coffee in the stores over there? I couldn't believe how
good it was for such a low priced, pre-ground coffee (The Skanrost/darker
roast one Kath and I like).

Shaun aRe - Otherwise I like the Blue Sumatra beans from Coffee Exchange
over here (a small co. that turned into a small chain, sourcing their own
beans, then roasting, blending and grinding in shop), or the Kenya Peaberry
    (or the two blended).
